The 4 weeks program

Our four-week program enables a seamless integration of high-quality, targeted IT training into your work routine. Through a combination of asynchronous video trainings and live sessions, using an approach known as 'Blended Learning', we can take your team to the next level in just four weeks.

For individuals or teams seeking training in the form of educational videos with guided supervision, we offer a pedagogically thought-out learning concept.

Your benefits at a glance:

  • Time flexibility: You can learn wherever and whenever you want within the 4 weeks

  • Seamless integration into the workday: the team does not have to be absent for several days

  • Pedagogically thought-out learning material

  • Effective and relaxed learning: Distributed content transfer over four weeks instead of 3 days

  • Support from the Coding Academy trainers: regular exchange and room for questions

  • Certificate for active participation

An innovative learning concept for your team

description

At the beginning of each week, you will receive new study materials and videos that can be independently viewed and worked on by participants. Additionally, during the first two weeks, there will be two-hour live training and Q&A sessions held online on Wednesdays and Fridays. These sessions provide an opportunity to discuss and clarify any open questions with the trainer. The instructional videos are embedded in an e-learning platform. Upon completion of the 4-week program, we will keep access open for an additional two weeks..

Motivation

  • The company is reluctant to have their IT team unavailable for multiple consecutive training days. This is because there are ongoing projects and deadlines that need to be met.
  • In an IT course, participants often have diverse backgrounds, education, and experiences. As a result, even a group of three individuals can be heterogeneous. Some participants may already have significant prior knowledge and experience, enabling them to learn at a faster pace. However, the training is typically only as fast as the slowest member of the group. This makes it challenging to find the right pace in a traditional 3-day training format. What is desired is a format that takes into account the needs and prior knowledge of all participants.
  • While our trainings are optimized to focus on the essentials and include a significant practical component, a 3-day training can be exhausting for most participants. They receive a large amount of new knowledge, know-how, and best practices compressed into three days. As a result, there has been a recurring request for a format that delivers the information in smaller portions, making it more digestible.
  • Often, the best and most important questions arise a few days after the training, when participants begin to apply their newly acquired knowledge to their projects. However, at that point, the course has already concluded. There is a need for a format that allows participants to ask questions continuously.
  • Finding a three-day training schedule that accommodates employees from various departments has been a significant challenge for many companies. They are seeking a format that offers greater flexibility.
  • The technical onboarding of new employees should be efficient and targeted. Therefore, a well-defined concept and comprehensive solution are desired. For example, implementing multi-week programs that cover various project-related topics would be beneficial.

Procedure

  • We start, for example, on a Monday. At the beginning of each week, you will receive learning videos, study materials, and sample solutions. These videos are exclusively available through us and are tailored to the desired topics by experts from the Coding Academy.
  • videos and study materials. Our courses include many workshops that you will work on independently during this time. Engaging with the material and completing the practice exercises is essential for success. During the online sessions, we will answer questions about the material you have learned and discuss the workshop solutions.
  • In the first two weeks, we will meet online for two hours on Wednesday and Friday. You can ask questions, and we will discuss your solutions and potentially explain further topics or work on additional tasks together. In weeks three and four, the live sessions will only take place on Fridays.
  • In addition, our online forum is available to participants at all times. We will assist you with any issues and provide guidance as needed.

Recommendation

During the four weeks, employers should allocate their employees a daily time slot of one to a maximum of two hours for working on the learning content, assignments, and workshops. Through the online discussion sessions with our trainers, participants also have an incentive to comprehend the learning materials. Some clients have reported that they formed study groups where two to three employees watched the learning videos together and worked on assignments. This form of learning has brought them great joy and accelerated their progress.

Our team participated in a 5-week online program (Python Basic Course for Machine Learning) from the Coding Academy at the end of 2022. The training not only fully convinced us in terms of content, but the format also contributed to the success. The ...
